This small tomb, a few hundred metres north of Parknabinnia CL67 above, is still partially imbedded in a low cairn and what appears to be its capstone lies broken behind it.

The view into the massive chamber from the rear, the sidestones are single slabs and the tomb has neat fitting front and rear slabs with a small entrance to the front and a small cut away at the rear.

The Burrens largest wedge tomb, and second only in size to Irelands largest wedge tomb, Labacallee, the capstone was shattered when a bonfire was lit on it to celebrate Clares hurling victory in 1955.

Only slightly smaller than Ballyganner South above, and also in good condition with the roof and sidestones mostly intact. The rear is overgrown and forms part of a low wall which dissapears into the bushes, perhaps it may be the remains of a kerb. Click on the photo to enlarge
